Kona Hawaii:

Resorts and Hotels

Four Seasons Kona.  The premier resort on the island without a doubt.

WaikoloaHilton is everything  family needs.  The only hazard is you might not leave.  It has a water taxi, tram, dolphin pool and lagoon.

There are many other hotels and waterfront homes available this year as well.
Since we started our trip this year at the Hilton then went to a Wyndham vacation resort in town we were able to experience a wide variety of dining options.  The Hilton Waikoloa had several very nice places to eat, like most hotel dining it was very expensive.  You do have to pay for convenience.
We also stopped for a visit at the Waikoloa Marriot hotel.  Another very nice hotel, but we didn't stay so we can't comment on the rooms yet.  Maybe next year.

DINK Dining:

Don the Beachcombers
at the Royal Kona Resort.
The original Tiki bar, with lots of great history, food and great service.

Oceans Sports Bar and Grill:
Great place for bar fare and an open air pool table.

Harbors:
Kind of hidden behind some fuel tanks, another great little known tiki bar.

Jackie Reys Ohana Grill.
Great food and a Mercedes chopped into a woody.  This place is a local favorite with good pricing, not on the water, no view but we didn't care.
